In the Spring of 2019, a Great Horned Owl landed in a pine tree across the street while Luana and I were sitting on our front porch. I grabbed the iPad and took some pictures. When I looked at them, all I had was a picture of a pine tree. That's when I called my brother and told him I needed to buy a camera. He had a Nikon D5600 that he wanted to sell. Then I bought a 70-300mm lens and found it wasn't long enough for what I wanted. I then bought a 200-500mm lens. This made the weight of the camera around 7 lbs. This was too much for Luana so I came up with the suggestion of her using the camera with the 70-300mm lens on the D5600 and I could buy a new camera. I got a Nikon D500 and have been having fun taking photos ever since. I now have a Nikon Z8 Mirrorless with a 180-600mm lens.
